Biography

Colin has worked with CLS for over twelve years and has managed large projects including onsite client sampling and testing while supporting clients with both environmental chemistry and microbiological compliance; evaluation of chemical dosing applications for reducing bacteria and organic loading, calibration of equipment, inducting and training new staff, validation of new methods for accreditation and audit, assessing efficacy testing methods of sanitisers, and material integrity testing.

Colin delivered the methodology in CLS for commissioning and sterilisation of hot and cold water storage/feeding systems for commercial buildings to L8 standard (for the control of Legionella).

In 2007 Colin was appointed as Director of Outsourcing. This department contracts CLS analysts and members of staff to client sites on contract. All the analysts are current employees of CLS, who are up to date on leading methods and technologies and are transferred seamlessly to host sites. All analysts are trained in CLS’s accredited systems and laboratories. CLS are the exclusive supplier of trained analysts to industry in Ireland.

Colin holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from GMIT.
